Deadlines for Contractors' Licensing Board

• ■ First of each month - Send out Notices of Hearing with Administrative Complaints for the following month.
  • Note: All parties shall be afforded an opportunity for a hearing after reasonable notice of not less than 10 days. (See page 4 of Policies and Procedures Manual). Also, if a Notice of Hearing must be placed in a newspaper, the ad must run once a week for four consecutive weeks.
• ■ Tuesday prior to Board Meeting: Conduct a dry run (if needed) for the Thursday meeting.
• ■ First Thursday of the month: LICENSING BOARD MEETING. Leave office at 3:00. Meeting starts at 4:30.
• ■ Within 30 days after hearing: transcribe minutes of last meeting.
• ■ Within 30 days after hearing: prepare Orders of the Board (see page 9 of P & P Manual). Orders needed only on items the Board made a motion on.
• ■ During last week of the month: Request all information for Administrative Complaints (Building Inspector’s reports, code violations, etc.) be submitted by the first of the following month.
• ■ Two weeks prior to meeting: Send ad PIO to advertise the CLB will be holding their regular meeting on Thursday, (date), at 4:30 p.m. in the Renaissance Center, 2nd floor Conference Room, 435 N Macomb Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
• ■ One week prior to meeting: copy and mail out Agenda Packages (no later than Thursday noon of prior week). Copies for Code Compliance Coordinator, Complainants, Contractors, Applicants and for Agenda Package File. Upon request staff and board members may receive a copy.
