Shelter locations are listed on the Leon County Emergency Information Portal.
Each location should list whether it’s a special needs, general population, and/or a pet-accessible shelter.
Cots and meals are not guaranteed at a shelter unless the Leon County Emergency Information Portal. says so. If callers are going to a shelter, recommend that they bring anything they need to make themselves comfortable. Refer to the Leon County Disaster Guide for a detailed list of supplies to bring.
If callers are bringing a pet to a pet-accessible shelter, recommend that they bring anything they need to make the pet comfortable. Pets may or may not be kept in a different area than shelter residents. Vaccinations records may or may not be required. Food will generally not be provided. Crates may or may not be available.
Shelters that say OPEN/FULL mean that they are at capacity. Encourage callers to go to another shelter if possible because they may or may not be refused admittance at a full shelter.
